Spring is Here!

Spring is finally here and as the warm weather sets in we will be enjoying the outdoors.  Make sure your body is prepared for whatever activity you are involved in.  Our staff of Certified Personal Trainers are the best in valley and can help you get ready for whatever lies ahead!

Now many of you just completed the 2009 Gold’s Gym Challenge so congratulations on that.  Finishing is a big accomplishment in itself.  Your next challenge is to continue  exercising and or maintain your achievements.  If you have found that your workouts are a not as effective as they were a month ago this is completely normal.  Nothing in the world adapts like the human body and all you need is a refreshed program to shock your body.  See one of our certified personal trainers and they can design you a program that is specifically for the new you!!  Don’t waste time spinning your wheels with a program that is no longer applicable to what you want to achieve!

If you are looking for an affordable way to work with a trainer on an ongoing basis then one option is our Group Programming.  These personal trainer led groups consist of no more than 8 people and only costs $20 per person, per session.  The programs involve high energy circuit training that consists of both strength and cardio routines!  Members who have been participating for the last few months are raving about how affordable and fun this group setting is!  Get in on the fun!

Coming to Eastmont in June we will be offering outdoors group training led by our certified personal trainers.  We are having monkey bars installed in our courtyard on the west side of the building and they will play an integral part of our outdoors training.  We will be doing sprint, pull ups, agility drills and plyometrics just to name a few.  It’s non-traditional training that’s fun and produces results!!  The cost we will remain the same at an affordable $20 per session.  See a personal trainer for more info!

As we all know, nutrition is huge part of the fitness battle.  If you have calorie concerns, a great option would be to sign up for a Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) Assessment.  This will quantify how many calories you burn at rest which takes a lot of the guess work out of a very important aspect in achieving your goals.  If you are looking for a little more help with your diet set up an appointment with our Registered Dietician Maureen Boswell and she will get you headed in the right direction.  Call 509 663 4965 to make an appointment with Maureen.
